WHAT IS A MISSION STATEMENT?

Mission answers the question, “What good for whom?” It’s your purpose, your reason for being, your reason for existence. Mission may be modified but its basic tenant is unchanging. Mission should focus and energize. It is most effective when it is specific but frequently it is not. Mission does not have to be a public statement, but a public statement can be taken from mission.

Here are some sample types of mission statements:

  1. Cancer care in a supportive environment for all.
  2. As your trusted advisor we provide peace of mind, protecting what’s important, while offering exceptional customer service.
  3. We shape individuals for rock solid success in life.
  4. Superior Care. Every Day. For All Our Patients.
